Description
The Goliath was a small, tracked, wire-guided armoured vehicle designed to carry a high-explosive charge for the elimination of bunkers and other fortified positions, thus saving infantry from having to do the job directly. It was carried towards the front line by any means possible: this model shows it being transported with a SWS half-track. Used in the closing stages of the Second World War, it was handled by the Engineer Corps, specially trained in the use of the device.
