Description
The SEPECAT Jaguar was a joint Anglo-French project. It first took to the air in 1968 and, since then, 202 of them have seen service with the RAF and another 200 with the Arm?e de lAir. It has also achieved a certain success on the export front. The reduced surface area of the wing gives excellent low altitude performance and this, together with its considerable weapons payload, makes it a feared ground strike aircraft, as demonstrated in conflicts in Chad and Iraq. Thirty-eight of the two-seater trainer versions were purchased by the RAF and another 40 by the Armèe de lAir.
